For our business partner, one of the largest integrators of IT and physical security solutions for national and European critical infrastructure, we are looking for a Data Architect to join their team.
In this role, you will develop and optimize data models to store and retrieve company information. You will analyze system requirements, design data models, and ensure data integrity and security.
Main tasks
- Achieves organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases.
- Maintains database by determining structural requirements, and developing and installing solutions.
- Ensures security of all information computer systems and digital data.
- Ensures adherence to government regulations and guidelines for technological systems and data safeguarding.
- Recommends upgrades and systems for purchase.
- Troubleshoots and finds solutions for computer systems issues that affect data storage as they arise.
- Monitors the performance of architectural systems to ensure fluid interaction between components;
- Establish policies and procedures for backups, restorations, and disaster recovery of databases to ensure data protection and availability.
- Participate in risk assessment and related design to establish disaster recovery plans and business continuity management
- Designs conceptual and logical data models and flow charts, security, and backup procedures.
- Meets information architecture financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Studies organizational mission, goals, and business drivers, and confers with senior management to understand information requirements.
- Determines platform architecture, technology, and tools.
- Confirms architecture capability and flexibility to support high availability web applications by developing analytical models and completing validation tests.
- Improves architecture by tracking emerging technologies and evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational requirements.
- Communicates technology needs and strategy to fellow members of the executive team.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
Main requirements
- At least 5+ years of previous experience as a Data architect.
- Working experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role.
- In-depth understanding of database structure principles.
- Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.
- Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Experience in SQL and Oracle.
- Proven experience in the public cloud area (Azure, AWS, etc.), familiar with services such as Container service, Docker, Kubernetes, and Microservices (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of DW: Data Warehouse, Big Data, DataLake.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, and Microsoft PowerShell.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, D3.js, and R).
- Ability to calmly manage critical situations.
- Focus on finding solutions and achieving the set result.
- Organized person, capable of managing multiple deadlines;\Integrity and trustworthiness with confidential data.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or information systems; master’s degree a plus.
