We are on the hunt for a passionate and skilled Monitoring Engineer to join their cutting-edge team and leverage SolarWinds solutions to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
This is a fully remote position, available for candidates based in Bucharest.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing requirements, designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise monitoring tools and the supporting infrastructure.
- Developing and implementing custom SolarWinds dashboards and alerts to meet the requirements of the application teams, customers, and other support teams.
- Defining, creating, and maintaining processes required to monitor production and development environments to ensure a proactive approach to addressing alerts or problems.
- Defining and maintaining monitoring products and component standards for monitoring capabilities to deliver a flexible, scalable, secure, reliable, resilient, and cost-effective set of data center and cloud monitoring services.
- Working with application teams, customers, and other support teams to coordinate and facilitate incident triage and timely resolution of production monitoring issues.
- Managing ServiceNow tickets and service requests to ensure a resolution in a timely and efficient manner.
- Developing standard operating procedures and user guides for enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Identifying and developing ways to improve and automate monitoring to gain operational efficiencies and improve responsiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience with monitoring tools, cloud, and VMware virtualization technologies.
- Good knowledge of Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, and other Windows core services.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, security, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with SolarWinds or similar IT monitoring and management tools.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent presentation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, e.g. AWS and Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft, UNIX, and Linux server OS.
